As per the annual report titled ‘Road Accidents in India: 2022’ by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), around 168,491 people lost their lives in road accidents in 2022 in India.
Disregard for traffic rules, over speeding and drunk driving remain the main causes of road accidents. Utkarsh Road Safety Movement conducts road safety awareness campaigns to educate about traffic rules, and the importance about following safety rules on the road.
These alarming figures itself reveal the urgency of more road safety awareness. We hope through our campaign, we can educate people on how to walk safely on the roads, and also about traffic rules and regulations, and how they can avoid accidents by adhering to simple rules.
We conduct road safety awareness campaigns regularly via rallies and banner displays. Simple steps such as wearing helmets, adhering to speed limit, not drinking and driving or riding, respecting pedestrian rights, maintaining the vehicles, and following traffic rules can prevent 90% of accidents and loss of precious lives.

Utkarsh collaborates with the traffic police department and NSS to conduct awareness campaigns about traffic rules and impart tips and guidance to ensure zero road accidents, targeting the youth, especially students.
