Disaster Preparedness Movement of Utkarsh aims at providing relief measures to disaster-affected people and animals. Be it natural disasters or man-made, Utkarsh strives to be of help and support to the victims. Utkarsh has undertaken several initiatives such as distribution of food packets, distribution of drinking water during drought, providing a month’s ration to people with disabilities during the corona lockdown, or rushing to the help of animals during Maharashtra floods. Utkarsh hopes to reach every disaster-affected person or animal, in times of need!
Disasters, natural or man-made, cause havoc, not to mention the loss of lives, property, and livelihood. When people get some relief in the form of basic necessities, it provides a hope and helps sustain life and even maintains the potential for economic recovery.
Utkarsh, through its drought relief projects, care kit distribution and food supplies to affected regions, has made efforts to reach out and provide a helping hand to lakhs of people.
Utkarsh Drought Relief Project 2024 is reaching 10 villages in each of the 10 drought-affected districts in Maharashtra.
